Open Hi-Hat
In this rock drum lesson, the bass drum is syncopated, or played on the off-beat. This can feel slightly uncomfortable at first, however it creates rhythmic tension for the listener. Make sure you can still feel the quarter note beat, even when the bass drum is played off the beat.
